XML and XPS? How to print XPS?

I read in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/XML_Paper_Specification that XML is
related to XPS. This leads me to believe this forum is appropriate for XPS
file qauestions.
(1) Why on my XP Pro work computer, is the print menu option grayed out in
IE?
(2) On my home XP 2003 Server computer, the print menu option is not greyed
and I can print. The freebie pdf writer at
http://www.verypdf.com/pdfcamp/pdfcamp.htm#dl does not work with these XPS
files. I can print to Microsoft Office Live Meeting Document writer (where
did that come from?) and get mdi or tiff files that contain the first page
of my document! How do I get the subsequent pages? I can also create an mdi
document but I don't know what to do with it.
(3) How can I make an automated procedure to convert XPS to something more
standard like PDF or even tiff?

thanks,
siegfried
