Help making straight XML visible to Google

Background: Running IIS 6.0 (migrating to MOSS 2007) on Server 2003. We have
several websites on a constrained network have to use XML (required by DoD)
and do so most successfully. Problem is that Google doesn’t index and thus
doesn’t see our content. Tech/Expert in the search shop says we need to
convert the XML to HTML on the server vice client. We have “<xsl:output
method="html"/>” in our primary stylesheets. Need to fix IIS or my
stylesheets cause changing the over 2K pages not an option.
