Altova Mailing List Archives

RSS Web feeds: in file system or the database?

Can we revisit what may be an old topic? I don't see it mentioned much at
this point in time so what methodology has been learned to store and work
with web feeds? Searching the web turns up way too many documents that
discuss way too many approaches much of it is apparently old so I have no
idea which method to use at this point in time and sit here stalling and
confused.

The objective is to provide a service which generates the feeds and
aggregates many (thousands perhaps) and of course at some point the need to
make it possible for one or more feeds to be found using search terms found
in a title, link or a description.
