There is XPathMania, see 
http://www.codeplex.com/MVPXML/Release/ProjectReleases.aspx?ReleaseId=77, 
a tool for Visual Studio 2005.
And there is http://www.codeplex.com/TTXPathNavigator for VS 2008.

There are also several XML editors like Oxygen, XMLSpy">XMLSpy, Stylus Studio.
