I don't know "Liquid XML Studio", if they have a support forum or 
mailing list then try to ask there.
Here we deal with Microsoft's XML parsers like MSXML or XmlReader, if 
you use them and they give you an error message then we can help explain 
that.
Extending types is possible in W3C XML schemas so maybe that message 
relates to a schema extension but without seeing the relevant XML it is 
hard to tell what exactly could be the problem.
