framework?

I've create a very rough persistence framework that takes advantage of
SQL Server 2005 XML type. So far, I've been able to save and retrieve
objects easily. Searching is next, probably using XPath.

I'm having some difficultly trying to persist object that depend on each
other (i.e. saving a user added to a group). I need a robust
object-level transaction mechanism (I think).

Before I spend a lot of time trying to address my frameworks limitation,
I thought I should see what else is out there. To date, my searches
have proven fruitless. Has anyone seen a similar persistence framework?

Thanks for your time.

Craig
