XML Writing New File

From: YoungLady@-----------.---------.---

I need to write a new XML file on each request. I create a memorystream and
xmlwriter for the xml :
        Dim sw As New System.IO.MemoryStream
        Dim writer As XmlWriter = XmlWriter.Create(sw)
Then I go through and write all the xml nodes, etc I need without a problem:
            writer.WriteStartDocument(True)
            writer.WriteStartElement("items")
                         so on and so forth
            writer.WriteEndElement()
            writer.WriteFullEndElement()
            writer.flush()

However I want to create the new xml file named something like
"export" & replace(now.date.tostring, "/", "-") & ".xml" and save to to the
root of my application in the folder "exports"

My problem is not writing the xml out, it is creating the new xml file each
time and writing the xmlwriter string out to it. How can I do this?
