I have a server that uses htaccess authentication and the javascript simply fetches all the information to fill a form from a php file inside the restricted area. I need to fill this form only if the user is already authenticated and I am try to avoid using cookies. The only thing I need is to be able to know if I am already authenticated on my linux/apache server before trying to fetch all the info in to the form. Any ideas? Thanks.
