Sorry, XSLPattern as a selection language is outdated, MSXML 3 still 
supports it for backwards compatibility but I am not familiar with its 
syntax, I do always use XPath.

XPath 1.0 is specified here: <http://www.w3.org/TR/xpath>. contains is a 
string function specified in section 
<http://www.w3.org/TR/xpath#section-String-Functions>.

The MSXML SDK also documents XPath functions it supports:
