I had tried it at the start as well without it working, but like a
moron I had forgotten to make one other necessary alteration to my
JavaScript code. It now works without using data islands. Thanks to
you both for all of your help with this. You both deserve a gold medal
for your patience with me. I fully subscribe to your "Don't just do
it, do it right" maxim, Anthony. Unfortunately my time constraints
made me think that I couldn't do it today, but I am glad that I did
stick with it.
