Yes. But if you were to ask:-  'Is there a property of the DOM that will
hand me the XPath on a plate?' Then No.

You will need code to walk the ancestor axis.  You will also need to
determine the ordinal position of each node in the axis relative to
sibilings with the same tagName.

It would help if you specified what platform and XML implementation you are
using.  Any sample XML f the sort that you need to do this on would help.
If the nodes in the ancestor can be identified at least among it's same name
siblings using some attribute it would be easier.  Even easier still would
be that the ancestors do not have sibilings of the same name.
