Fair enough, I don't understand completely as to why you need embedded 
stylesheets though but I have little experience with this topic.
I don't think IE 7 supports though I'm going to check. You have to remember 
that IE still uses msxml 3 which came out  along time before Firefox 
although I don't see why it wasn't added to later versions as all the 
technology seems to be present. It's even possible to construct script which 
manages to process XML with embedded XSLT.

Personally I'd rather have IE's support for the node-set function which 
Firefox doe not support.
