Re: Read XML files into Access Tables

The XLM files are land survey files.

Sample XML files can be downloaded from...
http://www.landxml.org/LandXMLSamplesDemos.aspx

Access has an IMPORT XML routine, but it does not
use the XSD listed in the XML file. The Access tables
always get truncated, and aborts importing.

I have to figure out the VB code for a module, using MSXLM to...
(1) read the XLM files into tables
(2) allow the user to add/edit survey points and lines, cross sections,
map symbols and etc. from various other survey formats.
(3) write back the revisons/updates to the XML format.

I can't do #2, and figure if I can understand how to do #1
then #3 would be just and update of the XML document.
I wrote several parsers in VB, but the nodes and elements
are so complex, I can't perdict all the cases, and an error
eventually comes up when optional items are omitted or
when a node is not programmed.
