On an element node, you could either have a) a type attribute, referencing a globally declared type - in this case in your included file. b) no type attribute, but a type declaration within the context of the element, which is a nameless/anonymous type defining the content model. It is not expected for the XML/XSD editor that you are using to expand those element names like you want to, since it would make it invalid XSD.
