Hi,

A question: What programming language (or platform) are you using for your 
app?

I have made a similar application as you mention (wrote it in C#). I needed 
to
set some attributes of my XSLT dynamically, depending on some variables in 
my C# app.

I solved it using the XslTransform class and xsl:param, since you can 
specify
your params when calling the Transform()-method.

What's wrong with using xsl:param?
