RE: Infer an XSD from a database?

Hi Michael,

First of all, I would like to confirm my understanding of your issue. From 
your description, I understand that you need to a tool to generate XSD for 
a relational database directly. If there is any misunderstanding, please 
feel free to let me know.

Currently, I don't know any tool like this. However, if you select all the 
data in a table or some tables to an xml file, or put all the data to a 
DataSet and use WriteXml to an Xml file, you can use the tool provided by 
VS.NET to generate the schema for this Xml file. Here are the steps:

1. Open the Xml File in the Visual Studio .NET
2. Select Xml/Create Schema from the main menu.

A schema will be created then.
