Newline in XML

Below works:

Dim drOut As DataRow = dsOut.Tables("OUTPUT").Rows(0)
drOut("NarDate") = xdd.DocumentElement.SelectSingleNode(NarDate_Q,
nsManager).InnerText

The overall “function” adds XML node data into another XML file which then
gets posted just find to an XLST file. But I want to add a newline so I can
concate more data into this one entry. So in somewhat naïve writing it would
be something like this:

drOut("NarDate") += xdd.DocumentElement.SelectSingleNode(NarDate_Q,
nsManager).InnerText + ControlChars.NewLine + “something as text”

The output concates just fine but it ignores the Newline most likely because
it not in XLST/XML format…I guess anyway. I also tried .InnerXML..didnt work.
I know the above example is horribly wrong just wrote it that way to make it
clear what I am trying to do.
