"Import report" ?

You need to import the *binary data* of the wav files in to XML ?
Or you need to import *text metadata* about the files ?

XML is *definitely* not the right container format to store .wav
binary data, as it could be several hundred megabytes for 1/2 hour of
music. Nor (before you mention it), is a database.

You need to keep the files in the filesystem where they belong, and
only hold metadata about the files.

No, I don't know what a "valid ID" is, either. As we're not mind
readers, please explain what it is you're trying to do. Do you have
any specific media player in mind when you want to extract this data ?

What's a websaplelink hash ? A binarylink hash ?

Making up terms doesn't help anybody to understand your problem.

>does anyone know... tnx

Yes, I do. Post again with proper details and I'll help you out.
