Parsing contents of string as XML

From: Tone@-----------.---------.---

I have a string. The contents of the string is in XML.

How can I parse the XML in the string? My temporary solution has been to
save the contents of the string into a file on the disk, and then open the
file as an Xml document.

I do not want to have to continue this storing to a file, since the
application is time critical, and saving to disk takes up extra time.

Thank you!

Regards, Tone
