There is a COM based bulk loader component in the SQL XML 3.0 download that 
can handle extremely large XML documents.  If the document is smaller, the 
easiest method may be using OpenXML.  My favorite method for creating 
interactive applications that use XML to update SQL Server is the UpdateGram. 
 All of these are very well documented in the help documentation that comes 
with SQL XML 3.0.   Very cool stuff.
