What I means in the former message is the namespace's Prefix, that's just a alias for a certain namespace and a certain namespace can have different Prefix in different document ,for example: in DOC A xmlns:ns1 = "http://xml.test.com" in DOC B xmlns:ns2 = "http://xml.test.com" ns1 and ns2 just refer to the same namespace though their prefix are different from each other.
