Anyway, let me add another nag. Saving a file to a server folder means additional security hole. Check the folder permission again. Executing scripts should not be granted in any case. In most cases, granting write access should be avoided. There is no reason not to use databases. Some databases, i.e., SQL Express, are free and allow querying directly the XML within.
