xml document are well encoded in utf-8 the default encoding of .Net
serialization. the browsers were set on encoding utf-8 . I tried to
change the browser encoding to "auto selection" and it makes no
difference.
I didn't find any difference in the security settings.
The difference may be in the browser version 6.0 on the dev computer and
5.5 on users but I have done the ugrade yesterday on the dev machine and
before this upgrade it was also running fine on the dev machine where
IE5.5 was installed.

How could you explain that your code sample giving the version of the
parser that is used for dataislands doesn't work on users machine where
msxml3 sp1 is well installed if dataisland is using msxml3?

they should use another component than only msxml3, shouldn't it?

Eric
