Changing data or comparing data when using SelectNodes

I'm almost done with a project that I've been playing with for a few
weeks, just one or two ends to unfray.

I have loaded up an XML file with SelectNodes. Now I need to compare
that data with form submission data to see if the data repeats. This
way I can avoid duplicate entries in my database.

Is there any way to change the SelectNodes type so I can do a string
comparison? I've tried a few things and keep getting "type mismatch"

Thanks

David Knighton

I'm not an expert, I just dabble and occasionally rewrite code I find on
the Net to my needs.
