Word XML handling

Hi

I don't know if this is the right place for asking Word XML questions...if
not please redirect me to another newsgroup.....

I'm looking into a project where we'd like to use Word for translating XML
files into another language, but before I dig too far into it, I'd like to
know if the following is possible:

1) Protect tags, so it's impossible for the user to remove/add a tag to the
document

2) Protect text. I'd like the user to see the original text and the a
placeholder for the translated text. However the user should not be able to
make changes to the original text, he/she should only be able to enter text
in the placeholder.

TIA

Søren
