How to remove xmlns attribute of default namespace

From: anonymous@-----------.---------.---
To: NULL
Date: 4/2/2004 4:26:00 AM
I need to trasform an XML document with two namespace (the default one and another one)

But XPath 1.0 does not support node selection under deafult namspace! (is it true?

I can't add prefix to the document nodes . How can I transform my document

If I remove xmlns attibute from XSL default namespace, transformation works correctly

In order to remove the xmls attribute, at the moment I use xml document as string and use replace function. Is there a less awkward method

Thanks in advance
