I've been able to programmatically put data in an Excel spreadsheet in some simple case, without looking at the internal format documentation. Just manually creating a typical template sheet instance in Excel, exporting it as XML, and looking at the exported code. Then patching the table of cells with the externally provided data. A couple of issues: - The data cells need not be contiguous, i.e. some cells may not exist in the initial template (in the middle of a row), and must be created when needed. - The row count and the max cell count (max row length) must be explicitly declared in the XML markup in some predefined place. otherwise Excel refuses to open the spreadseet. Hope this helps. -- Manuel Collado - http://lml.ls.fi.upm.es/~mcollado | ||||||
