Topic: Change data rows into XML file
Posted: Friday, July 3, 2015 12:08:39 AM
It's no surprise to me either. What I can't do is figure out how to reverse it.
Can I use the existing XML file I have as a template to generate new ones?
Where on the menu in 2010 are the icons or choices to switch the direction of the arrows?

My employer purchased a copy of MapForce 2010 for me.
We never used it but now I want to use it.
Support has expired but I'm pretty sure I don't need elaborate support for this simplest of tasks:

When making an .mfd file:
One table on SQL Server. No problem connecting and adding.
One XML file that current process uses but we want to generate ourselves.
I added it and it looks like what a template would look like. This seemed like a godsend because of all the .xsd files it references
when it was created.

Except. . . . .
When viewing output we get a query that inputs the XML data into the table!
We want to generate an XML file in the same format and save somewhere.
Now this would seem simple but it has me hornswaggled.

I would like to generate C# code to automate this XML file creation.
That button seems to work, but the C# files aren't compatible with newer VS 2013. lol
I figure I can use Notepad and copy and paste the code where I want it.

I have attached the .mfd if it helps at all. (and right now I have a different idea of what .mfd stands for lol)
