The ability of adding comment in a simpler manner would be great for people who wants to present their project step by step (which is what I'm currently working on) Thus, I second this wish too :)

The Altova Mapforce is the best way to convert to Excel spreadsheet. Their official site mentioned that the Altova Mapforce is able to produce output in the form of:
Excel spreadsheets XML data XSLT 1.0/2.0 stylesheets SQL statements to update or insert databases Flat files EDI files XBRL documents
