Hi,
I was wondering if i could do a query on a edifact file. I have no database connections what so ever.

There is no query language for EDIFACT. With that said, if you have a mapping with a source EDIFACT file you can use the various components in the libraries window of Mapforce to essentially build queries . For example, you could filter certain records according to specific criteria and this would be similar to a SELECT statement in SQL

I know there is a way to convert the mapforce mapping to Java, or another programming leagues. But can i convert it back into mapfoce after i changes some things in code ?

This is indeed not possible, but what you would usually do is to add your own Java functions to MapForce - this will allow to you to stay within MapForce project and at the same time use your own functionality from Java. See documentation for details

MapForce comes with a very thorough documentation on all possible aspects.
