Hi,
I know this might be a very naive question. But is there a setting within XMLSpy that can highlight characters that are not contained within a specific language? i.e. If I require 'West European' or 'English' as my default setting, and a document contains the Japanese character え (e), can this can be detacted/validated?
Obviously, I know that xslt can provide a translation or filtering etc. But I'm interested if XMLSpy can be used to highlight unexpected characters.
Thanks in advance,

There is no such functionality, because XMLSpy covers the whole UNICODE equally.
But you can use XPath tab to search for such characters quickly.
