Hi, is there a way to enclose marked text with tags in Authentic, i.e. if an author marks a word (just like in MS Office) and wants to add attribute "bold" to it. I cannot find that in Authentic?

I'm afraid currently this is not possible. It would be possible to edit attribute bold if it already exists, i.e. to change between true and false, for example.
Authentic is designed for use of different XML elements for text styles like bold or italic - the way how it is usually done in HTML.
P.S. with v2011, due in autumn, you will be able to modify standard behavior.
