XMLSpy® 2008 supports integration with Altova SchemaAgent® 2008, the revolutionary new tool for modeling and managing advanced schemas and other XML-based files in workgroups.

In addition to its powerful XML Schema editing features, XMLSpy® 2008 supports integration with Altova SchemaAgent® 2008. SchemaAgent® 2008 is a client/server based, graphical tool that allows you to visualize, combine, and manage your schemas in an intuitive, standards-conformant manner.

You can connect to the SchemaAgent® 2008 Server while working with the XMLSpy® 2008 XML Schema editor and have access to all schemas in the SchemaAgent® 2008 server path as well as their components in the XMLSpy® 2008 info windows and entry helpers. When you insert one of these components, you can choose which schema includes the definition you require, and SchemaAgent® 2008 will automatically create the required include/import/redefine statements. This greatly reduces the complexity associated with schema development and enables the efficient re-use of information assets.

When you connect to SchemaAgent® 2008, all the components of the schemas in the server path are available for use in info windows and entry helpers. When you insert one of these components, you can choose which schema includes the definition you require.

Once you select a schema component and definition, XMLSpy® 2008 prompts you to choose whether to automatically create an include, import, or redefine statement to relate the two schemas.

In addition to inserting the required include/import/redefine statement, SchemaAgent® 2008 automatically propagates all changes you make to the related schemas in the SchemaAgent® 2008 server path.
