Eclipse Integration

Altova MapForce® 2008 includes seamless integration with the Eclipse Java-based integrated development platform.

Altova is pleased to offer an optional, free integration package for integrating the MapForce user interface and functionality into Eclipse, the increasingly popular platform for Java development, WebSphere work, and other development projects.

Developers now have access to the graphical data mapping and Web services implementation capabilities of MapForce directly inside the Eclipse environment. MapForce autogenerates XSLT, XQuery, and Java (as well as C# and C++) program code based on these visual designs, allowing developers to immediately integrate MapForce code into their own applications.

MapForce also supports integration with Visual Studio.

To take advantage of Eclipse integration, download and install MapForce Enterprise or Professional Edition (a free 30-day trial is available) as well as Eclipse. After you have completed those installs, the final step is to install the Eclipse integration package.
