| | Description: XPath is a pillar of XML technology in general and the foundation of XSLT. Since it is the primary rules-definition and query language of XML, you need to have a firm grasp on XPath before moving forward. The Navigating XPath 1.0 class outlines the simple structures of XPath in an uncomplicated way, and then points you in the direction of more sophisticated expressions. Your instructor will teach you to address and filter the entire document tree from within the interactive XMLSpy XPath Evaluator. No prior knowledge of XPath is necessary for this class and, since XPath is used so widely, no assumptions are made about how students will utilize XPath in their own work.
