The company was honored in the Tools and Environments category for the fifth consecutive year. In its award citation, SD Times states that XMLSpy is still awesome, but the vision has expanded to include transformation, query, Web services and application design.
According to David Rubinstein, Editor-in-Chief of SD Times, “The winners of this year’s SD Times 100 awards have demonstrated their leadership in shaping the software development industry. We took into account each nominee’s products and services, its reputation among development managers, and the new ideas it brought out. These select individuals and organizations are the ones we’ve identified as helping to move the art of development forward.”
“Altova is known for top software tools and for constantly introducing useful new capabilities for developers and data management pros,” said Alexander Falk, President and CEO for Altova. “From our support for Open XML in XMLSpy and Web services data integration in MapForce to all 13 UML 2.1 diagrams in UModel and even a brand new database query and design tool called DatabaseSpy, Altova is delivering a lot of value this year. It is an honor to be recognized by the editors at SD Times for these accomplishments, and it’s especially rewarding to have made this prestigious list for the fifth year in a row! ”
